Critical Incidents are unavoidable in police work. Supervisors and Investigators must have the skills necessary to respond properly and effectively. Appropriate for investigators, supervisors, and administrators, Office-Involved Critical Incidents is a seminar built to provide police supervisors and investigators with the information necessary to prepare for, respond to, and investigate critical incidents that involve police officers. Topics to be covered include policy considerations, initial supervisory response, best practices in dealing with the officer(s) involved along with how to conduct a complete and thorough investigation. In addition, NY Executive Law 70B – The NYS Attorney General’s Office of Special Investigations will be covered.
